This page will continuously be updated to reflect up-to-date policy and procedures at HOTLIPS Pizza during COVID-19
Per Kate Brown’s Executive Order No 21-15, as of Wednesday 6/30/21, COVID-19 restrictions will be relaxed at HOTLIPS Pizza. Customers and employees can choose whether they wear masks.
Our restaurants do remain closed to the public while we work on resetting our workplaces. Thanks for understanding!

AT A GLANCE
WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN VISITING HOTLIPS:
No dine-in and no entry into our restaurants, sorry. That means our restrooms are employee-only, too. We’re doing our very best to keep ultra-sanitized workplaces and maintain safe working distances.
As of Monday June 21st all locations are accepting cash again. Cash tips can be delivered through our walk up counter tip holes. Credit cards are accepted over the phone or by self-swiping on externally mounted readers on our walk up counters.
Each of our locations has been outfitted with friendly customer service windows, as pictured above.
Slices are available during hours prescribed by individual restaurants (as they balance whole pie order rush periods). See our slice line information page here. Slices are to go only.
You can expect longer than normal wait times during dinner service Friday + Saturday nights. Be sure to call in your order well in advance and please, be kind to our staff. We’re doing our very best to keep everybody fed + happy during trying circumstances.
For our community’s safety we have a ‘one way policy’ in place - we are only handing things one way through our service windows. That means no reusable cups, utensils, menus or cash.
Please consider adding gratuity over the phone as you place your order. We so greatly appreciate it.
Our menu has been consolidated and we apologize if some of your favorites aren’t available for a while.
When picking up, please observe social distancing of 6 feet as you wait outside our locations.
A DEEPER LOOK
POLICY AT HOTLIPS DURING COVID-19:
MASKS POLICY:
Masks are mandatory for all persons onsite across our entire company.
HOTLIPS Pizza has sourced and manufactured a total of six different masks and face shield options for employees to ensure they are as comfortable as possible. Employees are able to reorder these anytime using our central communication platform.
Pizza restaurants get HOT and supervisors have been instructed to give employees all the breaks they need to get outside and catch a breather.
TEMPERATURE CHECKS:
All restaurant employees are subject to a temperature check before commencing shifts. If an employee presents with a temperature of 100.4 or higher, the employee will not be permitted to enter the workplace and will be sent home (they will not be allowed to return to work until they are fever-free for three days, without the use of fever-reducing medications).
DISPOSABLE GLOVES:
Restaurants are continuously stocked with disposable gloves. The same goes for the inside each of our delivery vehicles.
COMMUNICATIONS + AWARENESS:
Our in-store TV menus have been repurposed to display all required OSHA, CDC and MultCo postings for businesses, including official messaging. Hard copies also exist throughout the company.
Employees are provided with up-to-date information on our central communication platform.
Restaurants have been outfitted with extra hand sanitizer stations and are also regularly supplied with sanitization products for regular cleaning of restaurants and equipment.
CUSTOMER AWARENESS:
Blue X markers are regularly maintained outside our restaurants to assist customers and 3rd party meal delivery drivers observe 6 feet separation while waiting.
Promotional posters and store signage are continuously reviewed to convey this messaging.
We continue to message reminders to our customers (via monthly newsletters and social media, for example) throughout COVID-19.
RESTAURANT MODIFICATIONS:
Our lobbies remain closed to the public, in part to grant employees all the space they need to ensure 6 feet social distancing while working.
Crash door installations and counter removals are examples of modifications made to workplaces for greater safety.
Our customer service windows are a hit with staff and customers alike. Thank you for all your kind words!
TRANSACTIONS:
As of Monday June 21st, cash transactions are back. Credit card payments are taken either over the phone or our customers swipe their own credit cards on readers mounted to the outside of stores.
DELIVERIES:
Contactless Delivery Policy
For the safety of our community all HOTLIPS deliveries are contactless during the ongoing pandemic.
Employees are unable to navigate buildings (elevators, hallways & stairwells) at this time and will instead leave orders at building entrances or lobbies.
Whether you’re calling or ordering online, please provide as much detail as possible where you would like your order to be left upon delivery and make sure we have the best number to reach you on. Please factor in retrieving your order when choosing delivery.
We will do our best to contact you upon delivery. If you don’t have a callbox our drivers will attempt to call but are unable to wait with deliveries if connecting is unsuccessful. Thanks for your understanding!
All delivery vehicles contain a regularly replenished supply of disposable gloves and sanitizer.
Our fleet of delivery vehicles are maintained by delivery staff utilizing our Vehicle Sanitization Checklist — a detailed list for drivers to follow sanitizing their vehicles at start and end of shift.
OFFICE STAFF, MEETINGS + INTERVIEWING:
Head office staff are working remotely as much as possible with staggered office times should multiple people need to come in on any day.
All meetings with restaurant management take place virtually.
All interviewing and initial onboarding is conducted by phone or virtually.
